I'm 36 and been playing games since the Atari/nes era. I never played the previous BG games.

BG3 is without doubt the most sophisticated game I've ever played.

I've never played a game like this, the coding and effort that must of gone into this game is something else. I have nothing but respect for the Larian team. I'm a big Nintendo fan so my standards of quality are extremely high, this game stands neck and neck with The Legend of Zelda series in terms of effort, quality and sheer awesomeness.

I'm 372Hours in on my 3rd playthrough. Playing evil in this game brings back Knights of the old republic 1/2 vibes, it's so dark and terrifying.

The voice actors/actresses are epic, the writing in this game keeps you interested. Even on a 3rd playthrough, I don't find myself skipping scenes or "chats" as the writing is on point and doesn't drag off onto rubbish.

Apart from the odd few bugs I cannot fault this game at all.

I'm sorry to say. But i can't call it amazing if i paid the full price for a good game, that is bugged to the bone!

I am in the 4th play through so i know what i'm talking about. I'm curremtly playing act 3 again. I sent so many bug reports i stopped counting. Patch 4 is so messy it insults the great work of the voice actors.

Those bugs are more than a few and more than odd. The partly make certain quests and plotlines impossible. It's so frustrating that we don't ven get a statement or anything. It feels like it's not a complete game, it feels like an ongoing beta test to me.

Just my 2 cents

I'm on my 3rd playthrough on Act 3. In my 372Hours of Full release gametime, I have only encountered 1 bug that was causing an issue with the game. The Voss taproom bug that started for me with Patch 4. All other bugs were cosmetics and didn't impact my fun and enjoyment of the game.

On both my other 2 playthroughs I completed every single quest that was available. It is a big game and maybe we just made different choices in certain scenarios that highlighted more bugs for you ?

I think there is a fine line between a bug that completely breaks the game/ or a quest compared to a cosmetic bug that doesn't actually break anything.

I'm sure you'll agree, we both would rather pay £50 for an amazing game with some bugs (that will get patched) vs £50 for the same trash that every other company spits out year on year that also contain bugs lol.

In my playthrough I only encountered 2 bugs. One graphical glitch and one where Wyll would refer to his father as if I had rescued him even though I hadn’t. Didn’t at all seem like an unfinished game to me.
