After patch 4 it seems at least 3 romances broke, the best in my opinion. I know, there is bug ticket to report bugs. Which i alread did. I'm playing act 3 atm and it's no fun. I reported so many various bugs on NPCs, questlines and the like i stopped counting and none of them got a reply. So i decided to give a sign here, hoping anyone sees it, hoping to get an officialk statement, if thy're working on it or anything.

I see in other threads. some poeple asked for improvements on Astarion already. So i don't have to go into detail. I see that enough people ask for Astarion, which is their right aqnd i strongly agree. The Kiss dialogue looks weird, and at some point he looks like he's afraid of you even.

But it is not only Astarion. Also Gale shows effects that are making his plotline seems weird:

- the Dialogue between Gale and Lorroakan at Sorcerous Sundries is missing completely, wether romanced or not
- at meeting Mystra it seems that some dialogue options are linked wrong, they make no sense. Like he protests to redemption for example? Sorry, for what do the players work and have full aproval before that? This never happened to me before patch 4
- the kiss dialogue just ends, as if you clicked "leave". but the animation fails to appear completely
- he has a dialogue option before the boat scene, that is named "Not found"

Wyll is also weird from what i saw:

- at the dance scene, either the game crashes or the Emperor appears instead

Please, give all romance options the same attention. Don't mess them up just to improve Karlach and Halsin. We players don't want to be forced to pick them, just because they're the only ones that work. This way it doesn't feel like the game has a romance option at all, it seems like a disaster. Very frustrating if you only see more and more advertising videos on Youtube for the game and the actors, but their work is made for nothing by breaking the game on their characters. I hope i didn't write too confusing, being a not native english speaking player.

Can we pleeeaaase, get a status quo, or any kind of statement or reaction to this? Will the romances -all- be please fixed soon?

What about Gale's and Wyll's epilogues? Astarion's is so broken it's hilarious.

I have not been there yet. I'm at least trying to go for a good ending for Gale, not using him as a a suicide bomb and talking him out of becoming a god.

So, other things just about Astarion's story are bugged too.


I've never had an issue with that scene before and now it looks weird. The rest of the scene plays out like it's supposed to but it is really strange to have him facing you and saying what he does...

Please don’t blame the addition of one new kiss animation for Karlach for all of the problems with the other romances. Just because she got a new kiss animation, doesn’t mean that she’s a favored romance all of a sudden, and doesn’t mean that they aren’t giving attention to other romances.

It's been happening since Patch 3.

In my Tav playthrough with romanced Astarion, I have a new dialogue option with Gale at the end of the game (I told him I didn't feel the same during the starry night).

Odd, are you using mods? Cause Gale's scene with both Lorroakan and Mystra's statue played out normally and I am NOT romancing him (Astarion romance for life heh).

When it comes to Astarion though, yeah, his kiss is bugged as heck (some lines get cut, some don't play at all, and sometimes the lines spoken don't match with the text on screen). And speaking of Phoenix's problem with Astarion, that has been happening since patch 3 so yah.

Try Rerol the Game Back to Patch 2.0 its kinda Hard and yu are at your own risk..
but yu can do it with Steam DB..

the asshole here love test the hell out of this game.. and indeed patch 4.0 broke a lot more then it fixed..
tested 2 days without sleep. im that kinda of maniac.

Rebel Moon, could I confirm if you currently have any mods installed? Especially when it comes to the missing cinematics and the lack of kiss animation with Gale.
