Same here. Ouw boy this last patch was unnecessary.
I was at act 2 ,my 3rd run (1st with dark urge) and could not start dialogue or the kethric cutscene, so....had to restart.
Everything was going ok until act 3....and these same problems reported appeared, was searching for ways to improve performance even though i had not experienced such problems before,now....It is clear that the problem was the patch.
Playing on PC.
It would be great If we could Just uninstall patch 4 at this point.

Also confirming. I’ve sent YouTube footage to Larian, submitted about 5 tickets with this forum attached so they understand it’s not just a 1 off thing. It’s been 3 days and I haven’t heard so much as a “we are very sorry and are aware of the problem and working to fix it”. I didn’t spend $80 so I could look at the game menu for a week while waiting to hear if my dark urge playthrough will be fixed. I don’t have any saves pre act 3 but I shouldn’t have to. I don’t understand how they are in the running for GoTY when their product is unplayable for a lot of us. Larians acting like a shady drug dealer who just sold me a bag of oregano and now won’t pick up the phone because they know they are ripping us off.

Same thing on the PC for me. Only ever started when I got to Rivington. Most of my current play-through was done after patch4 dropped, but I never saw anything like this in Acts I or II.

Walking around Rivington and Lower City can turn into a real test of patience because the game will hang for nearly a minute at times when you enter a new "sub-area" of the map. Also happens on fast traveling and after leaving camp after a long rest.

I've seen this when simply walking around inside the Circus, entering "named" buildings, entering Wyrm's Rock from Lower City, fast-traveling to the Sharess' Caress waypoint from Rivington, etc. It seems to be related to, well, entering a new section of map and probably to loading its assets because it feels like this gets much more pronounced the larger the "sub area" you're entering is.

And I'm not on a slow PC, by any means. i7-14700KF, 32 GB of fast DDR4 RAM, RTX 4070 and the game is installed on an M.2 SSD.

This really could use a fix - and not the DIY-fix that's been posted, because I don't want to have to mess around with config-files and/or the console.

According to the user who posted the DIY-fix, Larian are aware of this and are working on it. With so many folks owning the game, I would imagine the daily amount of bug-reports Larian receive is quite substantial and I'd rather have them work on the problems than sending a personalized "we're sorry" message to each and every one who reports a bug. smile

For anyone wondering, Hotfix #11 did not fix the issue. Act 3 is still unplayable.

Turns out hotfix 11 *did* fix the issue for me. Just ran all over the Lower City on foot, did some fast traveling and entered some named buildings (all things that would've caused the game to hang before) ... and everything seems to run as smoothly as before.

Performance still isn't what it is in Acts I and II, but it's totally playable again for me now with no lags/rubber-banding or anything like that.

We don’t want a personalized message. Just wanted them to post a public message on their social media’s acknowledging they are fixing the problem.

Seems to be mostly resolved game still needs serious work considering it's not exactly a graphical showcase

Still having a ton of issues in act 3 in rivington and lower city streets, unfortunately the reality is this game is a broken glitchy un optimized buggy mess on the PS5, games radar recently reported this so it's out in the wild now

I didn't have this issue till I got to Wrym's rock (I swear that place seems to be a curse for me), but it started after the hotfix was a thing so it clearly didn't fix the problem for everyone. I really hope this game is in proper working order someday. (I'm also on PS5)

Is this issue specific to dark urge, noticing it far more on that playthrough

No I have it as well (on PC) and I'm playing a regular Tav

I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, 'wouldn't it be much worse if life *were* fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them?'

Cannot seem to load anything past Revington, my companions don't follow me, conversations take 5 mins to load, cannot save. It's so unplayable right now beyond act 2. Hope this gets fixed soon

3 weeks and still radio silence, completely ridiculous what a broken glitchy buggy mess on PS5 after these patches, even the mirror lags up, didn't anyone test this?
