Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Elven chain and monk unarmoured features

I've put the Elven Chain on my monk to see how it looked like and expected it would cancel unarmoured bonuses, but what happened was a mixed result. Not sure if it's a bug, it doesn't conform to how other armour works...

- Armour Class tooltip shows the following:
AC 21
14 from Armor
-4 from Unarmored Defence (?)
+5 from Dexterity
+3 from Wisdom
+1 from Cloak of Protection
+2 from Become the Bulwark (? - bracers of defence)

- Movement Speed: 14m

So I noticed some contradicting information here.

- If Elven Chain is considered armour for monk, then AC should be 20 (14 + 5 + 1), bracers of defence shouldn't give its AC bonus, and movement speed should drop to 9.

- If Elven Chain is so light as to be considered clothing and not penalize monk's unarmoured bonuses, then AC should be 25 (14 + 5 + 3 + 1 + 2)

Instead, I do get the WIS bonus to AC, bracers of defence work as if I was unarmored, movement speed is improved at 14, but there is this weird -4 penalty which tooltip says comes from unarmoured defence but I don't see how.

The description doesn't mention monk unarmoured bonuses, but it does say it feels like wearing a cloud so I guess it is considered clothing...? But the -4 is inconsistent with how unarmored defence works for other situations, did I miss a rule somewhere? Or is it a bug?
