There is a Moonrise dialogue bug triggered by Grukkoh & Butters, the Hobgoblin & Ogre couple having sex in a barn in the Blighted Village.

If the player kills them and speaks to their corpses, asking Grukkoh "Who do you report to?" will have him mention Moonrise, which from that point onward the story will act as if the player already went to Grymforge, met Nere and learned everything about Moonrise. Thus entirely breaking the story flow because both Astarion and Minthara can be spoken to about Moonrise before it even becomes a story plot.

So I’ve had that dialogue with Minthara (before encountering anything remotely Nere or Underdark related) and I’ve never interacted with the folks in the shed. So that might be one thing that triggers Minthara’s weird dialogue, but it’s a bigger problem and it’s been there since patch 3. I reported it, but good to point it out again.

I got that too, and submitted a bug report to Larian about a month ago. The support team did acknowledge and said they’d passed on to the dev team. (I know they must be swamped, but find that they do manage to get back on most reports when they can!)

But all I noticed was Minthara’s incorrect line about Nere. I didn’t see any of the wider implications mentioned by Crimsomrider or realise what triggered it, so definitely worth adding your own report if you haven’t already, Crimsomrider.

Also had these bugs. Minthara especially. Used speak with dead and resulted in the exact error flow.

I believe the Drow corpse at Waukeen's Rest also reveals Moonrise, so that's another way to trigger the false dialogue flag.
