** Spoiler warning for Jaheira, Minsc & the Guild **

So I have encountered Minsc in Act 3, but without Jaheira in my party, the only option is to kill him, which really saddens me, as I'm old enough to have played the original Baldur's games and found Minsc hilarious back then.

I knock him out, but when he comes to and sees the dead fake Jaheira, he restarts the fight. Knocking him out a 2nd time, kills him instantly.

As an experiment, I tried heading back to Ninefingers & the Guild, as I now had new information about the Stone Lord, hoping to find out something related to Minsc and/or Jaheira. First had to battle the Zentharim together with the Guild, and in the following dialogue with Ninefingers, not a single word was uttered about the Stone Lord, Minsc and/or Jaheira, so I'm none the wiser as to her whereabouts.

On the way back from the fight to the Guild, by chance I found the Harper's place in the city, with Jaheira's Study & Hideout (I have had the Harp shaped Pin needed to enter it with me for a long time - can't remember how, where or when I acquired it). The place & Hideout is completely empty however; not a soul there.

I never recruited Jaheira in Act 2 and have never seen her in my camp. I'm starting to wonder if she was killed in the big battle without me realizing it. Reloaded a save in Moonrise Towers after the battle. She wasn't present, but I couldn't find her corpse among the many fallern either; she's completely vanished. Also checked the Last Light Inn, but apart from a few Tieflings, the place was empty.

Would be most grateful if anyone can offer advice about where to possibly find her in Act 3, if she's alive, and you don't have her in party or camp.

I see that the patch 4 notes mentions a note from her, which might explain why she possibly left. Have looked for it in various places, but not found anything - anyone know where it's found?

Thanks in advance for any help offered!

There are circumstances in which you recruit her in Act 2 but as soon as you enter in the city you receive an item: a letter from her saying she’s leaving the party, inviting to check the house for resources (house has no occupants in this case).

Not at the beginning of Act 3, more precisely when you enter Lower City from Wyrms’ Rock. Easy to miss the message and not notice the letter in the inventory.

It happened to me in a path where the inn was wiped, but she still was at my side during the final fight there with the shadows, and she was at the final act transitioning camp.

J bugs out in act 2 if you don't talk to her at a certain point in the story she gets treated as alive but gone by the game

When he summons the tentacles and disappears from the roof battle she expects you to talk to her before following him and bugs out if you don't... Any point before leave the Shadowlands for Baldur's will be ok to talk to her here and fix this error in the game script

Thanks guys; looks like I just got another good reason for a 2nd playthrough (with different character), paying more attention to Jaheira, and recruiting her when possible.

Must be a way to get her to show in Act 3 though; have seen others mention the interaction between her and Minsc, so must be possible to have her in the party when you go to confront him.

If you recruit her in act 2 then yes but frankly the current state of the game makes act 3 a struggle to finish

That is a shame to hear. Wasn't aware it's that bad - I'm still exploring, trying to tie up as many side quests as possible, before moving the main story along.
