Hey all,

Just wanted to make a post saying hello.
Been ready the forums off and on some great info here!!

A friend told me about DD some time after BD came out. So I went and got BD because I heard DD came with it.
I still have not installed BD. DD is a very cool game. Wish I found it a long time ago.

I have not finished the game but have been playing 2 different characters. (kind of wished I played on hard instead of normal)

I do have some suggestions. (or a wish list you could say)

Wish #1
I really wish when you start the game you are not forced as a male fighter to take Aug and Sword as a starting skill.

I'm not one for playing female characters but I would rather have the Elven sight and Repair. (but I don’t won't to play a female)

Would have been nice if you could have picked 2 of the 4 skills instead of making you take a skill based on gender. (this goes for all classes).

Wish #2
Another thing that I wish was in the game but is not. I wish you could specialize in dagger or staff.

Wish #3
Would have been really cool if they had the graphics for the straw hat!! (maybe through in a cape or cloak).

Wish #4
Not sure if anybody has played NWN latest expansion Horde of the Underdark.
But there is a Weapons smith that would let you pick what power you wanted imbued on your sword for a hefty some of money.

If Geoff was the man he would be like "hey I can imbue a level of Death Strike on your Sword for X amount of money" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

But all in all, love the game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

There are a few over powerfull skills and some skill not worth taking but hey still fun.

Also on a side thought love the house you can buy. I have not entered the waste as I hate to see my house go bye bye.
Now when I'm playing instead of just looking for normal loot I'm like "HEY! I can pick that up that will look really cool in my house." <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Again thanks for all the great info!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Hi, bloodhawk <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />,

The skill system in BD has changed a lot, you can unlearn skills etc, and you have to find skillbooks or people to learn you skills first, before you can invest skill points in them.

Welcome bloodhawk! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You might change your mind after you try Hard mode... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Me too. There is a save game editor that allows you to redistribute skill points. See Raze's post below for the link.

You can specialise in daggers with the Survivor skill Assassin's Kiss. Unfortunately, there is no Staff Expertise.

They listened to this request and made a lot more graphics for Beyond Divinity. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Would be nice. You could make a quest of it (retrieve the necessary component).

Glad you're enjoying it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I guess when I'm done with DD sounds like BD is pretty fun. looking forward to it.

I did not really consider Assassin's Kiss a dagger specialization but I guess your right.

I downloaded the editor and this helps a ton! thank you much guys.

Now if I start over I can play my male fighter and take a different weapon with out losing skill points! very nice.

I did remove the 2 skill points I had in Survivors Instinct (blah terrible skill)

Put them in my Transfer Power and Summon Demonic Aide.

I'm having fun as a fighter with a small army with me of Skeletal Wall and Demonic Aide. tears stuff up.

With items and skills i have 5 in Master Summoner, Transfer Power, Demonic Aide and Skeletal Wall.
There not as tough as i was hoping but they still get the job done or slow them down long enough to spread the dmg around.

Again thanks for your help!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />
