Morning all,
I have the game installed on a PC using WinME, and I cannot get past the Config Screen. I try to set it up run on 1024 resolution, hit the test or apply button and I get an error stating something about SLASH1.DLL.
The latest patch has been applied.
Hope you guys can help me out, I've been waiting for this game for too long.

welcome! I donna. ERm, search this, Raze solved it IIRC. Are you getting an error message? What exactly is happening?
Some people have gotten an error from the configuration program (that it could not read a configuration file) due to having .div files associated with a divx movie player.
At least one person had a problem with the opening video, from having the ReClock DirectShow Filter installed and enabled.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I have uninstalled my DivX player and still get this error message.
Div has caused an error in SLASH1.DLL
Div will now close.
It then advises me to restart, which I have done.
Still lost in Gotham..............

Do you have the latest video card drivers? Updating them has fixed this error for a few people.

Morning Raze,
All my drivers are up to date.
I updated them because, like thousands of others, I was trying(in vain) to get Sacred working. This was three weeks ago.
All these people up at this time of the morning, I'm impressed.

Did you do a clean re-install of the drivers, removing the previous version? If you run dxdiag (click Start | Run, type in dxdiag and hit Enter), does it report any problems? Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before trying to start the game? Cant load slash1.dll proplemBD Demo Issues? Look here for a solutionIt is still night here, though getting close to morning.

OK then, I am currently downloading even newer drivers. Will install and get back to you shortly.
Thanks for your help thus far.
I spent a few months in Toronto a while back, the early morning was the best time to be up and about.

New Nvidia drivers installed. Game works after one black screen induced restart. THANK YOU <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> No-one can stop me now..........WahHaHaHa
