The Shattered flail heals for 1-6 upon hit, which should trigger the Broodmother's revenge applying poison to the weapon. Or if it works the way I think it does.

Shattered flail definitely heals upon hit.

Broodmother's revenge definitely applies poison when a cleric heals Tav (Fighter).

But the Shattered flail does not seem to trigger the poison upon healing the wielder.

This is on PC (unmodded) version, patched up to the latest.

Not sure when this changed but the Shattered Flail now seems completely broken (no pun intended).

The "madness" proc which is supposed to make the character hostile to 'anyone in the vicinity' now only targets 'friendly' combatants. During the battle to save the grove, Karlach had the flail and was down in front of the gate completely surrounded by goblins, the ogre and Minthara. No friendlies were anywhere even close. When she went mad, she disengaged from the ogre, and two goblins and jumped back up on the wall to attack Zevlor (the closest friendly), who was by no means the closest target. There were not less than 5 closer targets (all enemies), including 3 in mele range. And she didn't proc an attack of opportunity from the baddies either. It was like she became a member of the enemy side.

During the battle against Dror Ragzlin, in round 2, Karlach again had Shattered Flail. When her turn came around, she was not given the option to attack or do anything at all despite having no statuses applied to her (this may be yet a third issue???). it was just a wasted turn where she was unable to act. As this was the round after activating the 'heal on hit' ability (whatever it's called) and she was unable to attack let alone do damage, she went mad the next turn. Again, despite Dror Ragzlin being right next to her, she disengaged and went to attack my mage, in the middle of a status effected area, half way across the map and bypassing several enemy combatants. Again, no attack of opportunity was observed.

And the 'healing effect' still doesn't seem to trigger the poison upon heal effect of Broodmother's revenge.
