I've found that disguise doesn't work in many occasions, I suspect it's when you speak to someone that it doesn't work. When you speak to npc's they still recognise you for who you are. I was in Act 1 and disguised myself as something else (dwarven female or something) and Astarion still remembers seeing me from the Nautiloid. Also Mol still recognises you for who you really are. So I basically stopped using disguise. You probably could use it to fool enemy mobs, but I've never needed to do that.
And yeah there are a lot of audio bugs in general where the subtitles show well before people start talking. I've had it where sometimes audio is missing but the subtitles still work. Sometimes a line gets cut off mid-sentence and someone else starts talking. There have been instances where the subtitles show and the audio is silent but then the subtitles appear a second time and then the audio does work and oh yeah, Halsin has two volume settings where he starts saying something at normal volume and then the next bit the volume is much lower. Like they recorded lines at two separate times but didn't check the volume during recording. Though most of these audio bugs were not there are the start. Halsin having two volume settings was there from the start iirc. Not sure because I got him killed accidentally in Act 1 on my first playthrough and my first playthrough took around 140 hours.
I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, 'wouldn't it be much worse if life *were* fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them?'
