so recently, about a week ago, my first hireling reverted to default appearance. im running a full party of custom characters. the portrait and what she looks like in the magic mirror are still what i changed her to, but in the game and in cutscenes its just the default. and then today my second hireling did this aswell.

does anyone know if theres any mods that are currently breaking them?

I've had similar antics to yours:
- my hirelings, after long rest, have a habit of turning off "show armour";
- the Duergar lady loses her portrait when hired, regaining it when she levels up.
As I don't have any mods installed it is just the game playing silly bugger
