Greetings. I've had the game for about 24 hours now and I'm finally getting used to the interface. So far I really like the depth of the skill and attribute system, but I'm having some problems understanding exactly how things work.

I'm mainly learning from trial and error, but since I finally made it to the first battlefield and discovered all the skill trainers there, I would like to get a good grasp on the skills and how raising each one will affect my characters. I'm sure someone has come up with a comprehensive list, but I cant seem to find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sure to be stopping by this forum to get more hints.

Welcome to the forum !!

you're not the only one looking for that, we're hoping that the larians might write a good 'guide' for the skills down, but up until now no word from that. And for the rest, I haven't seen any other guide yet

Well, it looks like I'll be forced to clutter the boards with newbie questions <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/freak.gif" alt="" />

So here's my first major foe that I'd like to defeat: Veath.

I'm level 7 and have an archery and a melee focused team. Only due to primary stats though, as I have not spent many skill points on either member. 2 in identify and 1 in detect traps. So I have skill points to spare and cash to burn but I need guidance as to how to most effectively spend them.

Veath is lvl 14 and I cant hit him AT ALL right now. He simply beats on me until I run out of potions. I guess I could go buy 100-200 potions and I could probably do it, but I'm sure there's a better way.

I'd also like to be able to dabble down the magic path with each character. One moderately mana intensive, and the other only for utility work. What is the best way to get the magic skills to work for you?

Any and all input is very much appreciated.

That didn't work either. Although it did seem to affect things ever so slightly. I'm sure it would have more so if it didn't start off as such a one-sided affair.

Does anyone happen to know what this guy's elemental, or other, weakness is?

Thanks,
Fanatic
