Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Game Crashing in Act 3 Lower City-PS5

Game started crashing for me as soon as I entered the sewers of the lower city in Act 3, now there is virtually nowhere I can go or nothing I can do in the lower city without the game crashing. I've tried playing offline, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and neither works. Is anyone else experiencing this? Do we know if Larian is aware of the current state of Act 3 on PS5? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pre existing saves seem to be kinda buggy with the new patch, I just started a new game and don't seem to be enountering any issues

Ruining existing save files after a patch should not be an acceptable practice. It is very disrespectful towards the players who have spent tens or even a hundred hours on the playthorugh. Larian keeps letting us down. Every new patch makes the game worse. For every bug fixed they create 2 new ones...

PS5 user. 55 hours withouth problems. After new patch, a lot of crashes, specially if a go to Elfsong tavern and enter the secret room or sewers. This two are 100% guaranteed crash

Yea it seems it's mostly pre existing saves, I did load a surge save and ran around baldurs gate without any issues, one thing I did do was re install the game post patch, could be worth a try

I have same problem. PS5 Act 3 Lower city. Crashes within a minute or two of loading game. Unable to play all week, ever since Patch #5.

Can we please have an update on this issue?

Same happened to me. Started in lower city Elfsong tavern cellar emperor's former hideout. Unplayable, crashes after a minute everytime i load a saved game. Tried with offline ps5, not helped. Tried changing game presets, not helped. It is CE-108255-1.

Would be nice if someone at Larian would at least confirm they know about this. Do I just have to start the game over because my previous save is now inoperable? Because I will, but I would strongly prefer not to pitch 70 hours of progress if I don't have to. Larian? Anyone?
