So I was on the fence about whether they deserved awards after Patch 4 (with its game-breaking bugs), but after Patch 5 and the addition of the epilogue, I think that they 100% deserve all the awards. I voted for them. I hope that they’re not done adding features to the game, though, because we could still use some at-will hugs, debugging Minthara, a few things like that.

Of the major releases this year I feel like the only worthy of consideration is BG3. I mean Starfield was a joke and still is, an open world that is EMPTY. Hogwarts was lackluster at best. Diablo was a mess that Blizzard just seemed to keep adding to. Redfall was, well just utter crap. Alan Wake was decent but did not gather the attention of BG3.

I voted for them for almost every category they were nominated for! There were a couple I thought games like Cyberpunk or Lies of P deserved more but, I absolutely voted for GOTY as well as Players' Voice.

Love you Larian! Love BG3! Once I experience the epilogues (I restarted entirely when they announced Patch 5), I'll know if it's my favorite game but it already won GOTY in my heart well before that.

I think BG3 has the award locked in. This forum tends to attract people with strong criticisms, justified or not, but if you take a cursory glance at most other forums, like the Starfield subreddit, you find near unanimous love for BG3 and players lamenting that their game wasn’t more like this in some way or another.

Good for Larian. They put a lot of work and passion into this game, and they deserve recognition. Winning a GotY award in a year that saw so many major releases is doubly impressive.

At this point it would be shocking if Bg3 didn't win. I knew it years ago when I first played the EA that I was looking at a future GOTY/Decade

Just fyi - I take no joy that Starfield isn't even nominated. (He's lying, he can't stop laughing about it! What an asshole.)

Strong start. Beautiful acceptance speech from, Astarion’s VA. That part at the end about being seen was quite powerful.

But dang, who decided to cut to Ben Starr like that? The man looked like he was barely holding it together.

I honestly thought Idris Elba would be a strong contender, but then I saw he wasn't even there and I was like "Yeah Neil is going to win this."

Omg, Gonzo? Really?

A loss on "best narrative", but, well... fair.

Win for best community support. No win on the music front, though - that's a shame.

Gratz to CD Project Red - Cyberpunk 2077 - for the Best Ongoing Game Win! Well deserved!

I saw that Gabe Amatangelo gave Swen a slap on the back on his way up - hope he didn't hurt his hand on that plate armor. lol

This is the first Game Awards I've ever watched. They sure do show a lot of, uh, filler, don't they. hahaha

Sean Murray, just shut up and take my money.

He plans to support Light No Fire in the same way as No Man's Sky, it'll be a day 1 purchase for me.

Sweep, as expected.

I’m only still watching to see Swen walk up and accept GotY in his goofy armor. XD
