When I recruit Minthara through the process of knocking her out and saving her at Moonrise Tower, my Tav always ends up getting the illithid powers even though I never used them. I went through this process 3 times and every time I made sure that I never used any ilithid powers, yet every time after speaking with Minthara at camp and she joins me, I am showing that I have used the powers. This sucks especially when one is doing a no illithid power use run.

It must be a dialogue bug. The dialogue is suggesting that you used the powers, when you never actually did. So don’t worry, I don’t think this means that you actually used the powers.

I’m not surprised that Minthara’s dialogue is buggy. Her whole new recruitment process is pretty… unpolished right now.

Your dialogue bug is definitely worth reporting. As strictly a dialogue bug, to keep it simple. Apparently there are also larger-scale Minthara bugs (like a romance scene not playing and her accusing you of cheating when you never did).

Well the game considers that I used them as the dialogue now has the option of about how the characters feel about their new powers, and I now have the illithid powers icon just above and to the left of the mini map. It now shows a "1" next to that icon and when clicking on it, it shows the first power has been unlocked. This icon was not previously their prior to receiving Minthara as a companion as I loaded a save before minthara being save.

But yes, Mint is the most bugged character that needs lots of fixing.
