i know the bfs are randomly generated, but for some reason i've been trekking for days to get to the last opening (which is the first one, or, rather, the one i got the first key to in the village). the path from the other two so far is 3 screens long and i'm not even to the end. what the..? is it just bad luck or have other people had this issue?
[edit]
as long as i'm whinging about the bfs, i might as well bring up a point that something can be done about. i'm also having map issues. sometimes the main map just goes black. sometimes (especially so far in bf2) the mini map doesn't uncover as i march forward. i just carry on into blackness. i then have to reload from a previous save. any fixes for that?

just keep trudging along, eventually the black will catch up, i would think that the closest entrance would be to BF1 Maybe you should try to find those tele stones... most impatient people like to use those , so they don't spend "days" walking around uselessly!

thanks. actually, it emerges that there are 4 dungeons in bf2 when i was only expecting 3. i found the first one closest to the village as i was clearing out the map from the south end.
i can't wait to get the tele stones! can't wait, i tells ya! maybe i should ditch bf2 until i stumble across 'em.

They're pretty easy to find actually. Or maybe it was that I just stumbled apon them in the first 10 minutes of being in the villege!
But I never go to the BF's in Act 2, can't find any dungeons!

thanks. actually, it emerges that there are 4 dungeons in bf2 when i was only expecting 3. i found the first one closest to the village as i was clearing out the map from the south end. I think there are 6 altogether. The black map thing is a nuisance but it does seem to clear itself when you keep walking. I had the same problem with the mini map etc going completely black from time to time. I also found that when I returned to the BF from the main game that most of the map that I'd cleared would have gone black again. Fortunately, as I walked across it again it would re-appear in large chunks. In other words I didn't need to walk up and down the whole map again. However, it did mean that I had to try and remember where the heck all those entrances had been located. Maybe it's a good idea to draw a rough sketch of the BF area for each act as you reveal it? There are a great many little bugs and quirks in BD, but most of them can be ignored or worked around without too much difficulty. It's also worth having patch 1.45, even though it only fixed some of the issues.

6?!?!?! ohmuhpeter.... i'm never gonna finish this game.
i had the same thing happen to me in bf1 with the main map being blacked out on re-entry. i'll just trudge on through the blackness in hopes that it'll show up eventually from now on. very tough thing for a pixel farmer like myself! it's like leaving the back 40 unplowed! oh, and i do have the latest patch.
thanks for all the suggestions folks.

Heya Chud, what's up?
There were 3 dungeons in the 1st act as you already know, and there's 6 dungeons in each of the last 3 acts. Also, as far as I know, no one's been able to find the battlefield key for the 6th dungeon in act 4(including me). So I never was able to get access to it.
You're still in act 2? Family life getting in the way of gaming? D'oh! Better you than me, eh?

yeah, between the kid, the in-laws, the out-laws, and the holiday gaming time has been at a premium. still slogging along in act 2. i wish people would quit coming to visit me and just let me stay in my cave.
criminy. 6 freaking bf dungeons in the rest of the acts? like i said - i'll *never* finish this game...

BS-ing you, me? A chaotic like myself would not bs you. Or would I? That is the question. What is the question? Nevermind, its getting late. Time for my medication again!
Yeah, I know how it can be with the family. Last night, my parents flew in to stay for a spell, and I'll be seeing some in-laws over the weekend. There goes my gaming time for awhile.
The issue isn't whether you'll finish the game rather when will you finish the game. Take your time, and have fun. When you finish it, you finish it. If you finish the game too soon, you'll be in the same boat as I am, waiting for another play to game. Good thing FF is near.

A lot of people have already gave you the answers, but I'll offer a suggestion: Each time you find a dungeon, go onto your overview map and insert your own label with some kind of numerical indication (eg Dungeon 1, Dungeon 2, etc). They seem to survive despite the black map problems, that is you can still see your blue flags on top of the remasked areas. At least you'll know which ones you've already done. Once you do so, you can even go back onto the overview map and remove the old tags and replace them with "done" as you knock each one off.
