As the title suggests, the Player 1 minimap is covered by the gamertags on Xbox in split screen co-op.

I've seen that on ps5 there is a workaround which involves going offline. On Xbox this doesn't work.

Not having the minimap makes it difficult to find npcs and see points of interest as you explore.

Has anyone found a workaround on this or curious if Larian is aware of this issue?

Same here.
It's a really crippling bug to gameplay and very visible.
It amazes me that in several months and a prestigious award behind it they still haven't fixed it.

Agreed, no clue why this doesn't have more 'visibility'. I feel like if they playtested split screen on xbox at all this would've been addressed.

Same here, because of this we are on the verge of divorce with my wife because we both want to play as player 2 as for player 1 not only minimap completely useless but also many tooltips etc are covered by it too. Im just telling her im not in the mood to play, and go play solo secretly after she sleeps for now.

Couch coop is the main reason I purchased the game in the first place, the fact the mini map/ gamer tag issue isn't fixed come mid January 24 is deeply
dissapointing .
Funnily enough I know who the other person in the room is, I even have a marriage certificate for reference should I ever get confused about it.

Being an old git who played Baldurs gate on the origina xbox, I was soo happy when this was finally released on the current console with splitscreen coop...
....now I'm thinkng I might actually an my money back as the wife is loosing interest without mini map and hints.

Yes, same for PS5! Very annoying!
