Good day all. I have a problem running the game that I hope you'd be able to help me with.
About three to four months ago, I finished Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time and decided to take a break. This was on my old PC running a Nvidia 1070Ti GPU. There were a few hiccups, but no major lagging. A few days ago, however, on my new PC running AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, after I reinstalled the game, there was massive lagging when I reached the splash screen of the game. I couldn't figure out what went wrong until I went into the options menu and realized that the game was running on my PC's default Radeon(TM) Graphics GPU instead of the 7900 XTX (see image linked below). When I switched the GPU it was supposed to run on, however, that's when things went from bad to worse. Worth mentioning is that I also turned on AMD FSR 1.0 in the option menu before I closed the game because I had assumed that my beast of a machine could handle it.
Before I go on, here are the specs of my PC. As you can see, there are two GPUs it's running on. My game was previously running on the first GPU (Radeon(TM)) before I switched it to the second in the game's option menu.

It couldn't get past the loading screen and the game remains stuck on a black screen with "0%" on the bottom right corner of the screen. I heard the Larian logo sound playing, but there was no animation of the logo playing, merely that blackscreen with 0%. I've tried everything I could think of:
1) Running the game as administrator
2) Starting the game directly from the bin folder
3) Starting the game with DX11 directly from the bin folder
4) Starting the game from the Larian launcher with DX11
5) Starting the game from the Larian launcher with Vulcan
6) Verifying the game files with the Steam client
7) Skipping the Larian launcher when starting the game by typing --skip launcher in Steam's launch option
8) Reinstalling the game
9) Switching the setting on my AMD Adrenaline app from "Quality" to "Default"
10) Checking that all my graphic drivers are updated.
Every time I did one of these checks, the game froze. If I run it with Vulcan instead of DX11, the game froze so hard that Steam can't close the game and I had to reboot my PC. My only option remaining is to reinstall my Windows 11.
I'll try to run a few more games when I get back home from work to see if this is an isolated issue (a visual novel I usually play recently ran without issue, but that's the only other recent testing I've had). My friend who is more tech-savvy than me asked me to ensure that the chipset of my PC has been updated, and that it has the latest non-beta BIOS. He has also said to use DDU to reinstall my drivers. I have no idea what any of those mean, but he has provided some resources for me to find out what they mean, so I'll do my best to find out how to update those things. I also have a technician coming over on Friday to check out my PC to see if the GPU is damaged or corrupted.
In the meantime, however, I would appreciate any assistance you could provide as to the source of my problems and why this is happening. Does BG3 simply not run well with AMD GPUs? Because it's odd that my problems appeared with my AMD GPU, but not on my Nvidia one. I'm at a loss and quite disappointed that I didn't get to play BG3 again after that amazing epilogue patch this month. I'm really hoping someone could throw me a lifeline here. Thank you.
