Is there anything more you should do in the church besides the descecration by Vinny and feign death potion? I've heard something about the roof, but I can't figure it out.

Could you maybe mean the roof of Stormfist Castle? If so => just an Easter Egg to look at.

No, there is nothing besides Vinny and the potion - just another "trader" for potions IIRC.
