Finally got the game after months of waiting (years, actually, BG 1&2 veteran). Playing split-screen co-op. Lots of fun, but there some issues which I find very surprising for a multi-patched game going out of years of early access and play testing.

- MS account names and mic mute icons are visible at the top-left of the screen, hiding the left player's mini-map. Apparently they can't be hidden or disabled. I find it remarkable that the developers crammed so much functionality and information into half a screen without overloading the interface, so this runs against everything they did and is very, very weird (and annoying).

- After several hours into our first playthrough, dialogue scenes started to be displayed with a black horizontal bar at the bottom of the player's half-screen. The bar is feathered at the top (a transparency gradient) and is completely useless. It spans around an eighth of the vertical space.

- We had at least one dialogue scene where everyone except our characters was invisible. We could hear and read them, but we were conversing with thin air.

- Adding multiple bonuses to dice rolls sometimes creates overlapping icons and interface elements which can't be removed, changed or otherwise interacted with.

- Random crashes to the dashboard, sometimes twice in an hour, with no obvious or repeatable cause.

I'm posting this here since I've read people saying that Larian doesn't respond to specific feedback because of the sheer amount of bug reports. It's disappointing and gives the feeling of a game that can blow up in your face at any second. All of this was prior to me learning about the XSX save issues which, although not yet encountered on my end, aren't the greatest incentive to continue my playthrough. This state of affairs is unbelievable for such a high profile game.
