Hello guys, is anyone in here playing split screen couch coop on the Xbox?
I have an interface related problem meaning the Xbox "gamertag"+avatar of both the logged-in users (top left corner of the screen) are overlapping the minimap making it difficult to spot the location of any player. It's really annoying, so much I find myself constantly looking at the minimap of my wife getting so much distracted. Are there any workaround possible?
Thanks.

No, they clearly don't give af about local coop. It's there since PS5 release in september. On PS5 you can turn off internet on console and it works but i heard that's not the case on xbox.

The fact that they didn't even fix the font size of the books when you are reading them in coop just proves that as well. I can't understand how they can release hundreds of fixes and miss some really simple things in the coop splitscreen. People are asking them to add the merged screen in combat and when the party is in the same location for ages (things that DOS 1 and 2 already did). There must be a player base of like 0.001% on split screen for everything to be ignored like that.

Finally a workaround has been found.

Use a basic set of plug in headphones with mini-jack stereo connector and plug it to the Xbox controller.

or
plug in a mini-jack stereo adapter to the controller

or (best solution in my opinion, the quickest)
take a set of stereo headphones, even the most garbage ones will do and cut the wire so that you keep only the mini-jack plugged to the controller

10 seconds or less and the gamertags go away.

Remember to uncheck the option "disable the speakers when headset is active" under the console settings>general>audio and volume output>additional options.

If it's not working just restart the game or the console and unplug/plug the connector.
