Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Rolan, Lia and Cal in Act 3 (unsure if bug)

This is more of a question, I wasn't sure where to ask: Are Rolan, Cal and Lia supposed to talk to one another in Act 3 after you defeat Lorroakan, and Cal and lia show up in the tower?

Every other moment in the game where they stand near each other, they always had ambient dialogue, where if you stand around them you can hear them talk and get more on their relationships. I was really looking forward to that in Act 3, after everything that's happened to them, but there's no dialogue at all.

BUT in my Act 3 so far, ambient dialogue is REALLY glitched out (party banter where text displays but there's no audio; or there's audio but no text displays; Shadowheart having a one-sided conversation with Wyll, who doesn't have text or audio and I have to check combat log to see what he said...)

So that's why I'm curious if the tiefling siblings should be talking but it's missing from the game, or there really is nothing at all for Act 3, despite them always having things to say in the first two acts. Thank you.

I’ve never seen them chatting in Act 3, but I’ve only been playing with Patch 2 and onwards. Not sure if something existed previously and bugged out. Act 3 is significantly more underdeveloped than the first two acts though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was no ambient dialogue

Yeah, that was also what I was suspecting but hoping for it to not be true, since they had multiple lines of dialogue per location in the first two acts..... Oh well, if it is true I'll deal.
