Microsoft reps told me this morning that we’re going to start issuing refunds for the save loss bug.
You have to call them, the form on the website automatically rejects digital download refunds.
I’ve now lost a total of 200 hours of saves. My son has lost twelve hours. My wife lost three hours. That’s 215 hours of time they stole from us out of incompetence.
We have done what Larian says would fix the issue. It never has. Larian doesn’t even respond to support tickets in any reasonable amount of time.
So, I’m getting a refund and won’t be purchasing anymore products from Larian until the folks in charge of this trash fire are working somewhere else.
I am sorry you had a bad experience. 200 hours is insane. I think they were under a lot of pressure to release it before Christmas and this year and it was just too soon.
Frankly I would put more responsibility on Microsoft than Larian. It has been an uphill battle to overcome technological challenges with bringing this game to the Xbox - frankly I don't even know how much support they got, and Microsoft should have bene bending over backwards to help resolve these issues for a game like this.
