So, I'm on my 4th playthrough, and I had never got the Wyll scene before now.
On all my other playthroughs, I was always already romancing Astarion. His romance triggers two ways and before now, I hadn't known you could trigger it without the Araj Oblodra scene. So I decided to try it the long way and get the confession scene instead of the Araj scene.
Wyll's stupid dance triggers when you first get to Moonrise. If you encounter Araj before you long rest, Astarion will be prompted at your next rest to confess how he feels.
But if you don't, you get the gay dance despite you not initiating anything.
So, make sure you have a romance solidified before getting to Moonrise or before long resting after getting to Moonrise and you should skip it.
Granted, that gives you very limited romance options but still.
Oh and, I reloaded twice to try and skip Wyll's dance. After a while, you stop caring about his dejected look. I just laughed this last time wondering why he thought he could do some dumb bird mating dance to seduce my Durge who's literal current passion are blood and more blood. Sorry Wyll, your dance is stupid and you should feel stupid.
