Hello Team Larian,

maybe you can take some inspiration from Jagged Alliance 3 please. I really like their mod support via Steam Workshop. It would be an incredible asset if this were also possible for Baldur's Gate 3 in the future:

No. Larian promised official mod support, which for DOS2 is far superior to anything we have with BG3 today. In DOS2, Larian allowed us to use the divinity engine to build our own worlds and script our own adventures or simple dungeon crawls.

The last we heard anything on this was in mid August when one of their community updates said, "OH yeah, and we'll also bring you official mod support at some point too."

People have asked and asked, but Larian has stayed tight lipped on this and refuses to answer or comment on it. It seems Larian already got more success than they bargained for and don't feel they need to keep this particular promise.

GMAddon1: Adds almost every single monster and NPC from the main campaign into GM mode, plus a few large custom maps to use in GM mode.

I personally think it was delayed due to bug fixing and adding in features people requested for some of the later acts. Like the Epilogue. It would be smart of the developers to wait until the game is essentially feature complete before adding modding. Esp since every new update breaks existing mods. Either that or they're waiting to release a "definitive edition" a year later similar to D:OS2.

My issue with the lack of official support is the difficulty with getting mods installed when playing on the steamdeck.

That is indeed an issue. A steam workshop would make this problem go away. Hopefully it comes soon.
