It's been that way now for a while that, if you pick up the quest after killing the goblin leaders, the ring is not a reward.

I was surprised to learn that recently, it *also* is not a reward anymore if the idol is stolen only after confronting Kagha!

Is this item meant to be a badge of shame for causing a mini civil war between druids and refugees? Or, is Bg3 just becoming *more* bugged over time? I'm struggling almost more than freshly after the release, it's hard to tell.

I thought they fixed this in one of the patches. In my honour run, I got the ring of protection after exposing Kagha but before defeating the goblins.

I am in tactician now. Just done that quest today. Pick up the quest, killed Kagha, stole idol, hand in, and got the ring. But all that are before killing goblin leader.

My last two honour mode runs have gotten the ring just fine.

Troubling. Thank you everyone. This isn't the first quest reward this char hasn't received... but as I'm helping someone with that playthrough... I thought the others disappeared due to inventory mismanagement, accidental sales, etc.

I don't know why, but my own playthrough is relatively fine, while *this* one is bugged to Avernus. There's so much wrong with it. So. Much. I wish that party at least had Hellrider's pride

There's a similar set of gauntlets in act 3. Small compensation, I know.
