I just took the road to Balder's Gate and was ambushed and fled to the Astral Plane. I beat the section and protected the emporer. I am on single-save mode.The last save was the as I was approaching the emporer for the first time. My main died before the auto save and I have no revival scrolls and the Emporer says he will only talk to the leader.

I can't rest and revive because I am in the Astral plane. This is my first playthrough. Is the run screwed, or was this an oversight in development with a way out?

Please help or advise.

Is your Tav Downed or Dead-Dead? If they're downed, another party member can walk over and help them.

If they're Dead-Dead, do you have any of the following classes with Revivify:

• Level 5: Cleric
• Level 6: College of Lore Bard (via Magical Secrets)
• Level 9: Paladin
• Level 10: Bard (via Magical Secrets)

Revivify is a Level 3 Spell. If you have a character with Revivify and the spell slot, have them cast it on Tav to resurrect them.

If you have a character with Revivify but they are out of spell slots, the following can return their spell slot to them:

• Use Spellcrux Amulet to restore a spell slot
• Use Pearl of Power Amulet to restore a spell slot
• Drink a Potion of Angelic Slumber, character is given the benefits of Long Rest (not sure if this will restore all spell slots)
• Drink a Superior Elixir of Arcane Cultivation (restores one Spell Slot 3)
• Drink a Supreme Elixir of Arcane Cultivation (restores one spell Slot 4)

Great advice, I second this. The nice thing about a Cleric is, you can switch out their spells at any time via the spellbook feature. So, even if your cleric doesn’t have revivify on deck right now, you can go swap it in.

PS: I missed the point it is act 3 beginning astral plane scene.

Tav is dead-dead and the only one left alive is Gale.

That sounds rather dire. I’m sorry. You should definitely submit a report to Larian about this, because they seem to have overlooked this possibility.

You could possibly try to spawn a scroll to revive your main. There is a mod called "Spawn Any Item" https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/426 which works great. I used it for example to spawn me a pair of gloves which I had sold in Act 1, but needed in Act 3 for a build idea (never sell magical stuff ...).

The Scroll of Revivify has the UUID as follows: c1c3e4fb-d68c-4e10-afdc-d4550238d50e, it should be a spawnable item.

Don't tell us you are on console.
