In Baldur's Gate 2, there were Potion & Scroll Cases and I urge the developers to add these containers to this game to help with inventory management. After adventuring, the inventory still feels cluttered with countless potions and scrolls. Thanks for consideration.

Surprise surprise.
BG2 > BG3 yet again.

It just reminded me of the bowl of goat's milk that old Winthrop used to put outside his door every evening for the dust demons. He said the dust demons could never resist goat's milk, and that they would always drink themselves into a stupor and then be too tired to enter his room..

I'm sure the devs are listening to feedback and this request is fairly straightforward to implement and would help improve inventory management by reducing clutter of potions and scrolls.

There are enough containers to use but to a cost of more annoying issues: https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=883509#Post883509

The different backpacks you can use to store stuff look too similar. I want to dye my backpacks!

I'll stay pessimist, looking on how DOS2 went and Larian's history with inventory UI.
I highly doubt they will add scroll/parchment cases, potion pouchs, and keyrings. It's just too BG2 D&D like. Who wants THAT<grin>.

At most they will let you just dye the backpacks...

Would love though if they went out of their comfort zone and introduced a limited GRID base inventory, limited non-endless bags of holding....for Honor mode, or new more 'difficult' modes.

Imagine that. Thinking of what you need to keep for your adventure and not being able to endlessly horde stuff. Strategy UP, difficulty UP, world building UP : so much more fun and in line with the D&D world. Suddenly STUFF matters.

I am in the school of thought that hard gameplay LIMITATIONS and RULES creates more interesting, challenging and fun RP opportunities.
Games that opens up everything and let you be, have or do whatever you want are the ultimate bore to me.

And again Larian's approach: ''Why confuse everyone and have separate looking bags (aka key rings, scroll cases etc...) when we can just have NO RULES NO LIMITATION regular bags were you can put everything you want into them...''. Just like the inventory.

Keyring? At least we already got a keychain. We can find a book with a secret stash and some ripcages as well to use as containers (necro style). wink

And the toy bear! Not to mention Gale's
cute little emergency pencil case.

I think the biggest problem with putting scrolls in containers is, that they don't appear on the action bar any longer - or do they now?

Could be, as I have linked it above. At least with potions for dialogue options, the problem is 100%.

PS: It might have to do with the gerneral issue, that one can't cast special spells from inventory / a container in inventory. It always has to be cast from the quickbar.

Dying different backpacks would be a nice addition.
