SOLVED: I am leaving this up for other dummies like me who don't know this -- you have to select the Golden Dice using a button at the bottom left of the dice roll screen, which looks like a dice. I never noticed it until a kind person insisted to me that it exists. I was very skeptical but its there, and its in the wiki under "Die Design," I had no idea you have a choice of dice even before Honor Mode. I explained this to Larian. In too many hours of Youtube video guides I never heard about this. Obvious to everyone but me I guess/ Anyway, thanks to the player who explained this to me!


Hello: On Feb. 8 I completed Honor Mode and received the Foehammer Steam "Achievement" for that, but no Golden Dice. I have never used any mods. I don't even know what they are. ( I have seen responses to this issue elsewhere that seem exclusively focused on Mods.) I have corresponded with Larian about this, shared my files, etc., and they are working on it. But I would love to know if anyone else ever had this problem or found a solution? I have checked game integrity, deleted cache, all the things recommended on Larian's help page. I started two new runs. I ran through the Honor Mode reunion sequence and credits twice to make sure the game logged as "Done." No change. Larian seemed very focused on game crashes (how many, when) and also asked about my end-game "game choices." Anyone know why that might be?
Do crashes break Honor Mode? If so I think that is unfair because crashes seem hardly unusual with this game which is a heavy load for my medium level machine (RTX 3070 Ti), and in 200 hours of game for an Honor Mode run there are going to be some crashes. ( I was very careful and fought every boss, which accounts for the 200 hours. I believe a lot of that was time spent on equipment management, respeccing, and preparation.)
The Golden Dice are just a bit of code -- but I would like the only promised in game reward for so much hard work (it was fun though!). Any help is much appreciated, or just let me know if it happened to you. Thanks!
