So... I was wondering if this is some kind of bug (I don't think so, because is full animated and voice acted) or if there will be some kind of update later on, but on my most recent play trough after defeating the brain, Astarion didn't run from the sun, he actually even said "I'm still on the sun, the tadpole must have some permanent effect". I didn't ascend him or anything. But later in the romance he says he can't walk on the sun anymore, and you can even offer to search for a cure together.... So, what is it? Is he cured or not?

Sounds like a bug. In my Origin version he still runs. You didn't by any chance play with any of the Origins that don't stay on the docks until the end, did you? Because Origin-Gale is for example blissfully spared the torture of having to watch Astarion run away.

I was playing as Origin Gale, but what intrigues me is the fact that Astarion himself says that the sun isn't affecting him...

Maybe is some line that wasn't supposed to have entered the game and with the new Patch it bugged out... But it would be nice if the tadpole had cured him, after all he went trough it would be nice...

Yep, that's a Gale thing then. Before patch 5, Origin Gale's dock scene would end after the narrator mentions the Crown and he was directly whisked away to meet Mystra. Now they kindly allow him to at least save Karlach, but the dock scene is still cut short for him and the portion in which Astarion finds out that he was wrong about the effect of the tadpole simply doesn't play.

It seems like a bug. In patch 5, when I talked to Raphael about Astarion, I got options as if I didn't know about Astarion's scars, when he had shown them to me. Still, I would like to see that video.
