As someone relatively familiar with these types of games and D&D even I feel overwhelmed and put off levelling up spellcasters. It's a chore to level up Wyll and Gale because of the overwhelming choice of spells.

I would like to suggest an auto level up function, especially if you hope to encourage people not familiar with D&D or crpgs to play.

I feel like becoming familiar with the spells is part of the fun of the game.

Sure, as an option, allow for auto-level ups.

Perhaps such a feature should also extend to having companions auto-prepare spells (With more intelligence than the current default system that prepares stupid stuff constantly)

Facilitating newer players a way to ease into the game/genre is never bad and with it being an option it doesn't affect people who know what they're doing.
