I don't think it makes sense for Karlach to know what we've done in the Druid Grove because prior to Tav recruiting her, she was too busy running away from Zariel's goons to learn about the Tieflings on the run and the existence of the Grove.
Based on this, I think it should be possible for Karlach and Minthara to be squad mates.
