I started a new playthrough after Patch 6, and eventually got to the Blighted Village. Before the patch, if my main character didn't have "disguise self," I would have Shadowheart go undercover as a Drow to get past the ambush and frighten off the goblins at the windmill. I followed the same tactic with this playthrough, and i seemed to work - to a point. Shadowheart successfully asserted her dominance and told the goblins to scram, but once the dialogue ended, the goblins just stayed where they were.
At that point, I noticed that there was a dialogue icon next to my "main" character's image. I transferred over to him, at which point a goblin immediately called him an "interfering gutsack," and all the goblins at the windmill immediately turned hostile to everyone in the party, including Shadowheart.
Is this "working as intended," or is this a bug involving the new automatically triggering dialogue feature?
Not to sound like a ranting old man, but, while I'm on the subject, I will say that I'm not a fan of this feature in general. It actively prevents me from leveraging companion skills; it removes an element of teamwork that I previously enjoyed; it puts my main character in the impossible position of trying to be good at everything; and, finally, I've been save-scumming in this playthrough much, much more than previously.
