Hi Larian! Thank you for this great game and continuing updating it. Well deserved game of the year!
Very minor spoilers below.
Features I wish I would have in the game:
-Worldmap. Navigating in the world now through the current system/map is a mess. For me personally, the absence of worldmap is immersion breaking. If modders want to some day add new content to the game, I think worldmap is a must. Since the current areas are small anyways, I would personally remove the quick travel system altogether and only use quick travel when at bigger transition points (which would take you to worldmap).
-Removing tadpole earlier (for example underdark). The whole tadpole storyline stretched so far in the story feels forced. I guess this was changed in the writing at some point, and it shows. Maybe only on Dark Urge playthrough you could have it removed earlier?
-Rolling for ability scores
-Using Mind Flayer powers should have much bigger drawback.
Content I wish I would have in the game:
-More adventuring. Now the game reminds me more of Icewind Dale than Baldur's Gate 1&2. For example, there is no "free" adventuring into the unknown wilderness. The whole game feels very linear (my biggest disappointment), and the feeling/illusion of free adventuring is missing. If you could remove the tadpole earlier, maybe the plot-hook could be trying to gather allies around the area to fight the bad guys? Or on evil play-through, gather allies to join them?
-Baldur's Gate city. Now it is basically only small portion of the whole city. I would even move many of the stuff/quests to other parts of the city, to make it more alive and like an actual metropolis. Every corner of the city does not need to have something interesting (like an actual city): this is actually very immersion breaking for me.
