I’ve sent emails on this before using the support web site, but never received a reply. I know you have a LOT of people sending you bug reports and feed back, but I thought I’d try going through the forum on this one.
It seems like this gets fixed then with each new patch reverts.
Right now, I can pick up single gold pieces that aren’t in containers, but not piles with multiple gold pieces. They appear in the list of items you can interact with to pick up when searching (hold X), and also have the pick up option on the context menu.
However, when I try to actually pick them up, nothing happens.
Even if I’m not short on money, it’s just very frustrating to have something that looks like you can pick it up and nothing happens.
I wasn’t sure if you were aware this is still an issue, or if it’s even possible to fix it, but I would appreciate a response one way or the other.
I want to end this by thanking you for the absolutely fantastic job you’ve done with this game, despite all the hot fixes and patches. I understand how complex game design is these days and know that there are always going to be problems needing to be fixed.
I’m much older than your average gamer and played the original Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale games on PC. I was so excited for this to come out on PS5, and have been completely engrossed since its release.
I’m a long time D&D player, and though the rules have changed over the years, it’s so nice to see a gaming studio that understands D&D and is giving gamers such a close yo “real” D&D gaming experience that keeps to that canon.
Thank you for all your hard work making this game such a joy to play, and I look forward to your future updates!
