Let's make no mistake about it.
Baldur's Gate 3 is an unfinished game. The state in which the content post-act 1 is shameful and would have gotten any other developer crucified, had it not been for Larian exploiting idiot gamers paying them to be beta-testers and telling them how to improve their game. The only reason BG3 got good reviews is because the game-review industry is built off of lazy white men who glorify any game that makes them feel validated in their racist, misogynistic, and queerphobic beliefs - and BG3 is a game where all dark people are evil, all women in positions of authority are evil bitches, and queer men are innately sexual predators.
Sven Vicke isn't pumping any more of his capitalist-shitheel dollars into developing more content because anything Larian would add post-launch would come in the same state as content added in updates, as content past act 1, as content to do with anything that wasn't rehashed and reiterated during the early access.
The only reason Larian is abandoning BG3 is the fact that they cannot produce new content that is not abysmally broken unless they have idiot gamers to be their unpaid testers.
Not that it matters to Sven Vicke, a man who believes a woman from a victimized minority who are shown to be forced out of their homes due to religious racism and are treated as innately evil because of their heritage is someone who deserve to burn in hell, because all of her people are just leeches and criminals anyway. (Great timing on that, Sven, your opinions on Jewish people were well-timed indeed.) He's got your money and Larian has carte-blanche to get their fanboys to pay them more money to release another unfinished game where white men being abusers is romanticized and excused.
Enjoy your unfinished game, and the characters who will always have half the content white men like Halsin deserve in the eyes of Sven Vicke and the only people in his staff he believes are important.
