To the Developers,

Information:

1. My friend plays on Mac OS, I play on Windows.
2. I host the save.
3. This entire post is a spoiler.
4. I am dark urge, my friend is custom background.

My friend and I reached the Morphic Pool boat to enter the state of no return to signify the end of the game. Upon interacting with the boat, the first obnoxious problem appeared. Both of us could interact with the boat and our characters would adjust themselves accordingly to be stood next to it, so there is responsiveness present. However, when either of us interacted with the boat, the confirmation message only showed up for them and not for me which means a halt on progression since all members need to confirm the decision. This will happen multiple times.

Next, to fix this, I had to ask him to leave the session, and then I make another save followed by a complete restart of both of our games. This problem is then made EXPONENTIALLY WORSE by the fact whenever they try to join, they cannot, because for some reason you class a Point of No Return as a suitable time to provide the message of being unable to join because a long rest is needed!? They are not a new player to the session and have been with me since character creation.

After wasting at least 20 minutes trying to get the boat dock interaction to work, they finally were able to rejoin using our spontaneously made strategy of restarting our games, loading the save before interacting with the boat, letting them join the session (if it even bothers to) and then loading the next save made. We had to use this strategy multiple times and it doesn't provide even a guaranteed workaround for this huge flaw in your game.

Following the cutscene and arriving on the cave shore, the Intellect Devourers fight functioned as expected yet immediately during the cutscene for the Netherbrain, they get kicked from the session which now makes us incredibly frustrated because we have to implement our budget workaround solution which again, is not guaranteed to work.

This also doesn't mention the fact that during the checks to use the stones and then dominate the brain the ENTIRE dice roll mechanic and window DISAPPEARED and only my character was visible holding the stones up along with a Press X to Skip icon in the bottom right which did absolutely nothing.

Then, after the cutscene came the Astral Prism where yet again, they were kicked out of the session and the same procedure had to be repeated until we got past it.

Then came the conversation with The Emperor which functioned up until the point someone else in our party became Illithid (Karlach). Our task was to go through the portal made by the emperor but, oh wait for it---THE INTERACTION BUG HAPPENS AGAIN. So I am spending 10+ mins trying to interact with the portal only for the message to appear on my friend's screen and when pressed, does nothing like before because it needs all members to confirm the decision. This is the point where about another half hour is spent trying our budget workaround for these horrible bugs and easily sums to over an hour of bug fixing through trial and error with saves rather than actually playing the game.

If we could refund the game we would but unfortunately we are past the refund playtime Steam states in their terms and conditions which iirc, is 2 hours and our playthrough is about 95 hours -.-.

So, we have now spent almost 100 hours in a playthrough that we CANNOT progress because of the bugs YOU implemented on YOUR strange and unsynchronized patch release schedule.

(Your patch delays between Mac OS and Windows are a joke. Not only does it break the game by bringing in new bugs, it creates a massive inconvenience for anyone, like ourselves, who wished to play only to be shafted by this weird, irritating release schedule).

I am trying to be a nice as possible but when you invest almost 100 hours in a playthrough only to reach multiple game-breaking obstacles that makes interacting with key story elements break, kick someone out multiple times during cutscenes, force awkward trial and error to even make button press work, you get a little fed up.

To be honest, I seriously doubt this is going to be a cause for concern for them unless this gets enough attention. I have never encountered such a problem playing a game in my life.

Baldur's Bugs 3.

At this point, I feel like just deleting the game since my time could be spent better elsewhere. This is all off the top of my head too. They have been getting kicked out of the game in and outside of cutscenes throughout the entire playthrough and has nothing to do with graphics or internet because their system has stable connection with powerful hardware defaulting to ultra - WHICH BY THE WAY -> they have to play on LOW because of how poorly optimized and tainted this game is with bugs.

I've nothing else to say, if this doesn't get fixed ASAP, I will be abandoning this game for good.

Edit: Also, stop kicking Druids out of their wild shape during conversations, region transition and cutscenes. Yes, they cannot speak when wildshaped, but you allow certain situations to permit auto-transformation back into wildshape after normal conversation. It is a waste of a short rest and in turn contributes to using up more camp resources.
