With all the talk from Larian about moving on from BG3, we really, really need one of the game's most basic issues to finally be fixed, and that's the fact that there is only one active character in dialogue.

In actual D&D conversation is fluid with as many of the party as wants to be involved, being involved. But in BG3 if you're controlling a character when the conversation starts, then every check is on them to either succeed or fail, while the Charismatic Bard multiclass watches in horror as you shit the bed on Persuasion, or the Githyanki warrior curses (silently) under her breath as you try to talk to some Githyanki etc. This is only made worse in multiplayer where 99.9% of the time your multiplayer allies can't even help you with the rolls.

We need two main fixes for this issue before the game can ever be considered complete:

1. Dialogue options for all nearby party members should be shown, even if they didn't initiate the dialogue. While it would be nice if the game could actually show them as if they were the dialogue leader (as if butting in like a real D&D party member), this isn't as critical as just gaining access to Wizard options because you have a Wizard etc.
2. I don't know how the game currently determines which bonuses are available to add to checks, but it really just needs to be a generous distance; if I'm nearby, I'm happy for my ally to take guidance. We can work out for ourselves how best to handle the communication.

This is has been a problem since Early Access, yet it's never been fixed. Please, please, please do something about it!
