Currently Shar’s leap-of-faith trial punishes her faithful, those trying to walk through the darkness and remember the correct path. By trial and error, it takes dozens of falls to find the right way, even with perfect memory. Shar only gives you three tries before she starts killing characters. This doesn’t make sense. No disciples could survive this, without save scumming.
It’s far easier to cheat: augment your jumping and vault to the first two platforms, dispel the darkness with daylight, and misty step to the end.
Instead of killing those who stumble off the platforms, trying to complete the trial as advised, Shar should kill anyone who flies, augments their jumping power, or casts daylight.
