Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) General Well well well : what's the status ?

I don't remember when I gave up playing this game. Months ago (probably 1 or 2 weeks after release day #1)

Now I wonder if there were changes ?
_ Skill system ?
_ bugs ?
_ quest bugs ?
_ #&@! copy protection making my drive to suffer and slowing the launch of the game by 30 to 60 seconds ?

And, annonying but not mandatory :
_ telepathic critters killing you on sight because you hit, by accident, an isolated one on another island/contient/world/plane of existence.

It seems there are still a lot of complains in the tech-support forum.

Skill system? There is nothing wrong with it.

Bugs? I still don't know what people are talking about. I have only had 2 bugs. They were when I did very strange things.

Quest bugs? I've never run into any.

Copy protection just makes the game load for 10 secounds.

I agree with you on the critters, but they have not been fixed.

If you went on every forum your going to get complaints in the technical forum.
Larian can't test the game on every single computer there is.

All the processors
motherboards
graphics cards
sound cards

and many other items all fit togeather to make a lot of different things they need to test. To do all-->impossible.

Yes there are still a lot of complains in the tech-support forum.

But there is a greatest number of persons who are saying that they have minor problems with the game and that they really enjoy Beyond Divinity.

I agree with Barta. I experienced several bugs with BD, but most of them were minor annoying bugs. Overall, I would give BD 8.5/10.

If you were trying to play BD with one of the 1st release patches or an unpatched version of BD, than I can understand how you could have experienced alot more bugs and more serious ones as well. If you have the time and you still have BD, download the latest patch, and start a new game. Maybe you'll have a better experience with BD. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

I didn't posted in the tech forum because I don't require tech help. It's too late for that. I just wanted to have a general view of the game from people not complaining about tech problems <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I played with the 3 first patchs, I think. Just up to when the empty Battleground has been filled.

Sills ? fine ? Well, if you have a link with a way to build a successfull character of the casting persuasion, please post it.

If the copy protection was 10 seconds, it will not bother me. On my Pioneer slot-in it's just slow and annoying. When the game is loaded, I'm in bad mood already.

For the quest bugs, I don't remember exactly what they were (it was a long time ago) but I'm used to do things upside down, especially in a game like DD. I just remember I was really annoyed. A couple in the first chapter, probably.

Whatever, I will wait for the 1.46 then try again.

Lockpick works? Pickpocketing no longer gives overwhelming results with no effort?

Fable: You CAN efficiently use a pickpocket skill, but not in main game....quite a different story in BF...c'mon, just give it a try; and, BTW, broken lockpicks SUCK(nocando, yeah)!!!

Do not panic. There is nothing wrong with skill system or with bugs or with the rest items from your list. Just stay around if you need help and support
