I doubt Larian as a creative studio wants to rehash the game this late post release it is more work than you realize to do this besides the fact that none make any sense, narrative wise picking a character you meet late in your travels a slippery slope of making a messy replay with questions like, how did they end up on the ship, what if someone wants a villain to be an origin in a sudden?
I would just agree to disagree on this concept of an idea.
Minthara however could maybe make sense if it was part of a stand alone Menzoberranzan prequel leading up to being in the goblin camp as a start up rather than the Nautiloid ship and having a whole new narrative perspective of "what if she manages to save herself" scenario through rest of the game, I could see uniquely scripted encounters where she meets up with all of the other origin characters not in the players control but give the player an option on which ones to hire up.
The whole point of the origin is that in that instance the whole story of the game is playing out from their perspective with a spice of their personal character development driving it forward, an origin not part of the Nautiloud ship crew should be starting up from a different branch of the game rather.
