Hello, I'm new to this game and i just started playing it yesterday.

(tiny spoiler below perhaps...)

I've played the demo through till the end and when i met the skeletal conjurer for the first time on the first lvl of those catacombs (you know, in the room with the ruby)
He was pretty weak, and i could easily dispatch him..

But now that i'm playing the full version, the guy kills me in 1 or 2 hits and is near impossible to overcome smirk what the hell is wrong?
I'm using the exact same char (we'll almost) as in the demo, but This just doesn't feel right... Was he intended to be this much stronger than in the demo or am i just doing something horribly wrong???

thx in advance.

btw. sorry if it's somewhat of a noobish question...

well, I think that a demo should be somewhat easy, to convince gamers to the game. That's why that skeleton was easy. IF it was very hard, many ppl would just give up and not buy the game.
So, you liked the demo and bought the game. How bout a little chalenge? Every "boss" is much stronger.

Another thing. Are you playing on Hard mode? Cause the demo could be only on Easy.

How did you try to kill him? I used a mage and her meteor spell - ran away when he came near and didn't concentrate on his minions, only on him.
Kiya

Don't be ashamed of the "easy mode" - I used that in all my games, too

Yeah i was trying to slaughter him with a short sword. not much luck there..
i'll try the meteor thing thx

Just got me kinda frustrated that at lvl five i wasn't able to kill a damn conjurer smirk Good thing he was intended to be stronger than the rest

i too have a 'what the hell is going on' question.
on my first adventure i played for a long time and progressed a descent amount. on returning to rivertown from a little jaunt from the pub in verdistis my sight was severely impared. when i walked through uncharted areas of map i could only uncover a small amount. i would say about 2 foot around me!!!!
is there any reason for this.
i have started again several times and gone through the whole game and not encountered it again.

Please, help my blind hereo, click here

It's the sight bug - due to items with a sight boost, Jizzlewizzle. Raze explained it very well => wrong calculation. Please, read the link.

The patch should correct / prevent the sight bug, though there are also a couple work-arounds in the link Kiya posted.

I first started playing as a survivor, always on normal mode.
The thing was i too kept dying. But ,my strat was that i would attack, run, attack and so on.

When i went as a fighter i just went for him ,i.e i just attacked until either he or i was dead and i found him easier to beat then.

I think the thing is if you attack and run,he has time to conjure a new skeleton and althougth it may be a weak one,it is a slight bother i find.

I have a question since the topic has been raised on easy/normal/hard modes.

Does the hard mode have lots more enemies and thus more exp from them?
(which would mean greater level gained).

Or is it that treasure is less than before?
Or that the enmeies are the same number but have more hitpoints and better stats?

Howdy and welcome.

I found this game out of many of the RPG's that I have played to be alot more realistic in fights than other games. Say I am playing Diablo and am surrounded, 9 times out of 10 I could pound my way through unrealistic odds and not die. In DD when 5 big Orcs slamm you well you really *feel* slammed.
I really enjoyed the challenge of this game.
Go get em! All must die but for you.
Not just a good idea, It's the LAW.
