Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Ruined runes

Pardon the newb question, but I keep collecting or buying the rune stones so I can upgrade weaps. and armor but how do I determine what each rune stone does? I mouse over them or click on them and get no details. What's the secret? I did a search on this board and couldn't find anything for "runes" or "rune stones." Suggestions? Thanks.
