Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems In Imp village and can't access battlefields

Using patch 1.45 on W2k SP4. Direct X9.0b with Geforce FX5900XT.

I am in the imp village, collecting crystals. I have found key's 1 and 2 for the battlefields at this level. However, if I hit the go to battlefields icon, it asks me if I really want to go, and the progress bar starts up down the bottom and then freezes at about 60%. If I look in task manager it shows 100% cpu utilisation to BD, and also that the program is not responding. I have also tried jumping to the battlefields when I was collecting the first bit of crystal, with same results.

Anybody seen anything similar, or offer some advice?

if you first talk to Azarnarixa then the game become unstable..the creatures are starting not to attack you and a really big Slow Down begins...i think your problem may related to this...have you actually done this quest??? if yes then load from an earlier save and talk first to parrixa this will solve your problem but if you didnt done this quest...ive no idea?? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

The first time you leave the imp village you are summoned by a necromancer. This delay added to the generation of the battlefield the first time you enter can make it take a little longer than usual. Try walking out of the village to get summoned, and then enter the battlefield from the place you are sent.

If you leave the village by trying to enter the BF, do not re-enter and exit the BF from where you are sent. You will be returned to the village, thereby skipping the location you are sent to (missing experience, loot and teachers).
