I was on my second honour mode and just killed all leaders of the goblin camp. It was the last quest to do in Act 1 in The Wilds. Everything was just great, and just needed to finish up some quests in the Underdark before proceeding to the Grymforge and Mountain Pass after that.
I was talking to all the tieflings in my camp as will happen when you kill all goblin leaders. One of the tieflings was rather reluctant to join the party, so I persuaded him with a [Charm] option to tell him to have a good time. I succeeded the roll and off he went.
Then I started talking to Shadowheart, and mid conversation the tiefling turned hostile on me. Probably because of the Charm spell I used. But I'm still low lvl (5) and it was just to point him out to have fun. Then ALL the tieflings turned against me and even Halsin. Now, me and my other party members can put it on non-lethal attacks, but other companions that join in who are not in party won't be able to turn that on. So, they killed Rolan and then Alfira, and both are so much needed for Act 2 and Act 3, so I had to forfeit my honour run, as there was no reason to go on after that.
Please Larian, make it so that the tieflings you saved and are in camp, do not turn hostile on your main character, even after using something harmless as a Charm spell!
Now I have to start over again! I know that sometimes charm can backfire, I just never figured it would happen in camp by a tiefling that you saved from a horrible death. That's just not right. In non honour mode it doesn't matter that much as you can just go back to a previous save. But in honour mode you can't. It just feels wrong to get punished for some triviality like this to end your honour mode and start all over again. Especially when you have well over 1300 hours in game. My previous honour mode ended at Orin (whilst I could always easily defeat her on tactician), and only had House of Grief, house of Hope, Felogyr's Shop and Gortash to do before going to end the Netherbrain. It sucked, but it didn't quite piss me off as much as what just happened. Because honestly, it shouldn't. Or there should be an option to apologize to the tiefling and that's it. But no, it was an obligatory fight, and that just sucks. So I sincerely hope Larian can do something about this. Now it's time to be a little bit sad some more.
