Solution identified. Best options I found were "Smoother Feminine Githyanki Textures - Optional Custom Scars" and "New Character Creation Presets WIP." The former is the best mod I found to eliminate the body scars and bizarre textures and structure without any seams at the waist or neck. I was unable to find a mod that eliminates the scar on Lae'zel's face, but the second mod included a couple of good alternative faces without scarring. With the default make-up options, I can get something much better looking than the default face for Lae'zel, and if I really wanted to take it further, I believe there are mods with alternate Lae'zel make-up options.
