Oddly enough, as is, allies can sometimes survive your AoE *in combat* and not turn hostile. However, as soon as all enemies are dead, they mind it again. Very annoying when one of them goes out of their way to walk through an effect like moonbeam, like say the Harpers after beating up the Drider.
This is why I would prefer a toggle. If the AoE wouldn't harm someone directly in my team, it shouldn't automatically hurt a random. This also extends to evo wizard's safe pockets not working for yellow allies. Absolutely nonsensical. If you don't know this beforehand, you're going to accidentally kill someone with your local friendly wizard. It's an annoying nerf to a subclass that's not that strong to start with.
