As the title says, i‘m looking for advice, which race mods actually work for romances. I asked in the Nexus Forum already and got no replies.

I myself just tested a race mod and didn’t get the first romance scene even. It would be a frustrating waste of time to test all those mods and they all may not work.

I general I’m still interested in the followong mods:

Whispers of the Divine - Aasimar

Flutter and Whimsy - Fairy

Elven Anthology

Tiefling Compendium

Fantastical Multiverse, with the races above.

It would be great help if someone would share their experience. Did you get romance scenes while playing races from any of these mods?

I don't have any race mods, but for something like that, check for reported bugs carefully, be wary of outdated versions, and expect wonky interactions. I've seen a lot of SS of whispers of the divine, that one might work reasonably well, but I imagine it's not compatible with all armours, so you'll also want transmog enhanced, which means you want script extender, and so forth. Be careful not to end up with a massively overstuffed mods folder. Also install all the prerequisites, you might end up with unexpected consequence otherwise.

Be up to date with compatibility issues between mods. As an example, for reasons beyond me, lots of people like the custom Tav mod, but most mods that also change the in-game models despise it. You more or less need a special version to have both. Eyes of the beholder is another problem child. Assume neither is compatible with anything unless explicitly stated. Similar issues may crop up if you install a long list of race mods. Additionally, experiment with the loading order if anything breaks.

There were no bugs reported about romance scenes. But there were posts, that some people didn't have the first night in camp scene on the mod i tested. I read the big reports and posting sections all. But sometimes people just don't report bugs.

Hence why i ask for personal experience. And yes, i make sure that there's a compatibility patch for Unique Tav, whoch i use in order to have an option for Body Tattoos.

Eyes og the Beholder is normally not a problem regarding scenes. I saw ir imyself. If there is a conflicvt with that, the eyes will simply look wrong or not appear at all. :P

Apart from specific animations i don't think a new race would prevent romance scenes being triggered.
The only races i use are custom versions of base game races, and havent experienced any issues with those.

the actual base game is busted and unfinished so picking mods and expecting them to work is asking too much

the only one of those i would try is "Flutter and Whimsy" as an evil D'urge run romancing Shadow or Minthara [expect more bugs if you go with the drow]
