I think we can all agree that ol' Raph is one the best parts of this game, so I think it is rather sad that his story just fizzles out if you make the perfectly reasonable decision to
not go to the house of hope

So here's what I'd really like to see added in Patch 7 so he can be properly represented in all playthroughs:

1. What if you don't make the deal and Raphael is still alive at the end? He wouldn't just give up, surely. I think he should make one last ditch attempt to convince us to give him the crown, or he should show up in the epilogue to berate us. And then we can have the great satisfaction of telling him to F off one last time.

2. What if you made the deal, but refuse to give him the crown? I think this was a missed opportunity for a really great bittersweet ending choice. So you made the deal, and Raphael has come to collect. Do you keep your word, with the surely terrible consequences that entails? Or do you refuse him in one last act of defiance, saving the world but damning your soul in the process? That's some juicy storytelling right there.

Raphael in the epilogue would be a wild and wonderful sight grin

I personally kill him and his creepy boytoy every time for what they did to Hope.

But if you give the crown to Gale and he becomes a god and you didn't do HoH, you will have Raphael in the epilogue.
I'm not sure, if you have to agree to the deal.

Plus, if Raphael is alive, you will always have a last scene with him.
