A companion, *ahem*, secretly disappearing on an excursion to the underdark, near a certain fish people, either makes the most or the least sense.
In camp off screen, I imagine
Wyll: Huh, haven't seen SH/Astarion/Gale in a long time Durge: Oh, you know. Sharran/Vampire/Wizard stuff 😗

Though I believe sacrificing Gale should be a game over?
I had a strange case of disapproval from Shadowheart, when I talked to Balthazar. She said to play along for now and I wanted to just this - tell him, we find the Nightsong, so that he didn't outright attack and I can position myself better. And she promptly disapproved. I was like 'Girl, what?'

That's similar to Gale and the Necromancy of Thay. I am unsure if his dialogue for calling dibs on the book is still in the game, I never got it to trigger so he just randomly disapproves if you give it to Astarion/read it yourself.

Yeah, that is strange too. I mean, if he wants to have it, I understand, but he never says anything anymore.

Darling, Astarion has to establish that he still has the best hair.
But jokes aside instead of what seems to be the most hotly debated or anticipated change of Patch 7, I would really love to read about some of the reactivity improvements that have been made. I am so very curious about those.

The reactions to the haircut were hilarious in my 1st play-through, because I got them immediately after learning the Dream Guardian's secret. Most of the companions had 1 line about one of the biggest twists in the game, then decided to focus on a hairdo. Astarion and Halsin didn't even react to the Guardian reveal, just straight to gossiping about bangs

Maybe it's just me with my apocryphal pre-3e knowledge of the D&D world, but I missed "Too bad we butchered that toy maker, huh?" and [empty a bucket of water over his head] when Wyll announces his Blade of Avernus rebranding and wants to celebrate it on the eve of the big fight. In my head canon we had crossed the Rubicon Chionthar with Gortash by freeing the Gondians and blowing up the Steelforge Foundry. (I had expected at least any Gortash-loyalists to be hostile after that.) So, with the Lower City done and the third stone in striking distance, we went for a nostalgic trip back to Rivington to complete the Dribbles puzzle and dive into the Wyrmway, with my Tav tripping that she'd have Lae'zel on a Red and Wyll on a Bronze Dragon for the final showdown. Amazing dungeon quest ending so badly with being forced to fight and kill an awesome potential ally and finding out yet more things the Emperor forgot to mention. This was a huge anti-climax for Tav and not a little plot twist for me. Then Wyll announces that - instead of doing any of the sensible and useful things now open to him, he wants to change his fight club name. I found this ending for his otherwise great story a bit silly and didn't take Wyll on any of the remaining missions, although he used to be a mainstay for boss fights. After how I buffed-out his Eldritch Blast he should have called himself the "Mystic Bazooka" instead! While the dialogues do give the option to tell Wyll to focus on the Elder Brain instead of planning his rebranding feast, I would have loved to give my Tav's frustration with this result a few more exclamation marks.
